Australia is a very large piece of earth floating in the other part of everything. It is too far away (even today) to blend with Europe or America, and it is not Asia at all.

You cannot understand Australia. If you live in Australia longer than some weeks you will even be disappointed. Yet somehow you get hooked and you want to stay.
